Friday, June 27, 2008 - On Friday afternoon Tanker 4-4 was dispatch to assist Company 4-5 on a field fire at 118 Harristown Rd. The 4-5 units arriving found approx 1-2 acres on fire and spreading towards a residential area. The units quickly brought the incident under control. Tanker went available @ 15:40 hrs. |

Sunday, June 22, 2008 - on Sunday afternoon @ 16:00 hrs Company 4-4 was alerted along with EMS Amb.4-3-1, Amb.4-3-2 , Medic 9 and Medic 3 to a two motorcycle crash on Ridge Rd. Units arriving found two victims on the roadway. One rider had a severe leg injury and the second sustained moderated injuries. They were both transported to Lancaster Hospitals by ambulance. |

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - A severe thunderstorm passed thru the area in the early evening hours resulting in a busy few hours for emergency services. Engine 4-4-1 was just canceled from a 4-1 box and returned to the station. Moments later another incident was created for a building box in Earl Twp. Tanker 4-4 responded to the scene while Engine 4-4-1 set up a draft site at the creek on Peters Rd. |

Thursday, June 5, 2008 - On Thurs. morning June 5th @ 08:30 hrs Station 4-4 with Amb.4-3-1 were alerted to a vehicle crash east of Intercourse on 772 E. A driver of an SUV lost control and ended up on its roof in the front yard of a residence.The driver self- extracated and refused medical treatment. |

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - On Saturday afternoon at 14:41 hrs Station 4-4 along with Amb.4-3-1 (Gordonville) was dispatched for a single vehicle accident that occured on Hollander Rd 1/2 mile north of the station. The vehicle left the roadway and destroyed a utility pole.The driver was transported by ambulance to a Lancaster City Hospital. Units cleared at 15:18 hrs.

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 - On a rainy Tuesday afternoon Station 44, Rescue 42 (Gap) and EMS were dispatched to 4132 Old Philadelphia Pk. for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Chief 44 (Diener) arrived and found a jack-knifed tractor-trailer versus a car and 2 patients trapped. Command 44 requested a 2nd rescue(Rescue 39) to assist with the extrication. Crews extricated both patients and Ambulance 49 and 43-2 each transported a patient to city hospitals.  |

Friday, May 2, 2008 - On Friday evening, Station 44 was dispatched to Rt. 340 and Clearview Rd for a 2 vehicle crash with entrapment. While crews were working at the 1st crash, Command 44 was advised of a 2nd accident in 44’s 1st due. Squad 44 and Engine 43-1 (Gordonville) handled the 2nd call at Rt. 772 and Queen Rd, where 1 patient was transported. Rescue 48 (Ronks) and Engine 47-1 (Paradise) assisted with extrication on the 1st call, and Ambulances 43-1 43-2 (Gordonville) and 38-1 (Leola) each transported a patient to city hospitals.  |

Friday, March 21, 2008 - On Friday morning at 6:39 hrs, the 44 dwelling fire box alarm was alerted to Osceola Mill Rd. LCWC reported a working fire with possibly 2 people trapped. Units arrived to find heavy fire and confirmed entrapment on the second floor. Rescue crews entered thru the front door and a second floor window, but soon had to evacuate due to the fire condition, and firefighters had to make a defensive attack on the fire. Monday, March 3, 2008 - On Monday evening, Station 44, Rescue 42 (Gap),Ambulance 43-1 (Gordonville) and Medic 3 (Ephrata) were dispatched to New Holland Rd and Rt. 340 for a two vehicle crash. LCWC advised responding units of an EMT on the scene reporting one patient trapped. The vehicle had rolled several times and came to a stop on top of a drainage ditch. Crews stabilized the vehicle and removed the roof to free the patient. The patient was transported to a Lancaster City hospital.  |

Friday, February 15, 2008 - On Friday night, at 22:20 hrs, Station 44 and EMS were dispatched to New Holland Rd for a single vehicle crash. Deputy 44 arrived and reported one vehicle overturned in a field. The patient had self-extricated from the overturned car and refused medical treatment. Units were available at 23:20 hrs.  |

Saturday, February 9, 2008 - On Saturday afternoon, at 12:08 hrs Station 44 along with mutual aid companies were dispatched to 3806 Yost Rd for a reported barn fire. While en-route, Deputy 44(Yoder)reported heavy smoke and requested 2nd alarm. Engine 44-1 arrived to find a working fire in the boiler room extending to the main shop. Engine 44-1 crew made an aggressive exterior attack on the boiler room while Truck 39 crew made an interior attack on the shop and kept the fire from spreading to the remainder of the building. Company 44 cleared the scene at 13:51 hrs  |

Thursday, January 10, 2008 - On Thursday evening Engine 44-1 and Tanker 44 were dispatched as part of the TTF (Tanker Task Force) for a 3rd alarm building fire at Dart Container. Engine 44-1 set up a fillsite at Mill Creek and 772, and Tanker 44 hauled water to the fire scene. The TTF was setup to refill the 250,000 gallon water tanks on the premises. Company 44 was available at 23:28 hrs. |

Tuesday, December 18, 2007 - The Intercourse Fire Company regrets to announce the passing on of longtime member Nelson "Bunny" Brackbill. Mr Brackbill passed away on Tuesday December 18th. He was a member of the fire company for over 60 years and served as chief for 25 years from 1962-1987. More recent services to the company included his dedication to the fire police."Bunny" will be greatly missed by the members of the Intercourse Fire Company, but will never be forgotten. |
