On Monday afternoon, at 13:38 hrs, Station 4-4, along with mutual aid companies were dispatched to 90 South New Holland Rd for a barn fire. Chief 4-4 went en-route and advised he was a mile out with heavy smoke showing, and requested 2nd alarm. Crews arrived and encountered heavy fire conditions, with the barn 95% involved. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 20 minutes. Martin Mulch was dispatched, for their track-hoe, to assist with overhaul, and to tear the rest of the barn down. Station 4-4 was available at 17:37 hrs.
