Thursday, February 11, 2010 - On Thursday morning at 7:27 hrs Station 4-4 was dispatched to 79 Pequea Valley Rd to assist Station 4-5 (Kinzer) on a dwelling fire. While en-route firefighters encountered treacherous road conditions, the driveway and many of the secondary roads were not plowed, making access very limited. Chief 4-2 arrived first and reported a working fire in the attic area on sides alpha and bravo. Truck 4-2 arrived next and initiated an interior attack. Tanker 4-4 and Engine 4-4-1 also made it in the driveway. Engine 4-4-1 crew assisted with fire attack, while Tanker 4-4 served as a nurse tanker. The fire was under control at 9:07 hrs.
